Achievements of The Egyptian Electricity Holding Company

The company carries out supervision, control and monitoring of the activities of its subsidiaries in the fields of production, transmission and distribution of electrical energy in order to help them improve the performance and technical, financial and develop the operational, technical and financial efficiency.  
Stability and regularity of electrical feeding in networks through modern control centers covering all parts of the country where the maximum load increased from 3306 MW in 1980/1981 to 15 678 MW in 2009/2008 resulting in increasing power generated from 20 billion KWh to 131 billion KWh.
Improve service to citizens to facilitate the delivery of current, repair and use of modern technology for registration and collection based on the Cabinet decision dated 10/10/2000 about delivering requests of electricity for residential units of the slums to electricity companies directly to all the governorates to facilitate for the citizens the assays. The total assays in 30/6/2005 is about 1,261 million assays one million of them were implemented, which provides electricity approximately 1.4 million subscribers. The company also interested in using the insulated wire instead of the exposed with low voltage network to all new connections and operations replacement and renewal without additional burdens on citizens to protect them from exposed wires and avoiding fires.
